Sportflugzeugbau Antwerpen was founded by Manfred Antwerpen. As a skilled locksmith, graduated engineer for aerospace technologies and passionate glider pilot he started working for several maintenance workshops before establishing his own company in 1985. Manfred put up a new building at the airport of Grefrath-Niershorst next to the Dutch boarder where the same company is still based. During the following 30 years Manfred founded a few more companies and is still not tired of branding his family name in aviation sector.

In 2001 Jan Schiffer joint our team as a trainee. After finishing his training he became an examiner for aircrafts in 2006 and assumed operational responsibility within the company’s management since 2010. Due to his linguistic knowledge he was able to acquire more customers from the Be-Ne-Lux area.
In the same year Jan was promoted as CEO, Manfred Antwerpen founded Antwerpen GmbH. With Europeanization and integration of EASA in German air regulations, Antwerpen GmbH established itself as one of the biggest CAMO companies in Europe.
Four years later Manfred became an officially appointed and sworn surveyor for aircrafts. Therefor the Antwerpen GmbH expanded itself to a surveyor office. Nowadays Antwerpen GmbH is one of the most assigned surveyors by courts, insurance companies, leasing firms and private aircraft holders.
With our company structure we are now able to service any need of our costumers, beginning from buying an aircraft, following admission, annual inspections, insurance certificates and assistance for possible losses.
